The New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Korea (Kiwi Chamber) will host two New Zealand Wine Festival events this month in Seoul and Busan.
Building on the success of previous New Zealand wine events, the 6th Annual New Zealand Wine Festival in Seoul and second edition in Busan will offer enthusiasts over 60 premium New Zealand red and white wines from over 25 participating wineries.
To complement the New Zealand wines, both hotels will provide guests with a world-class New Zealand-themed culinary experience, including superb food pairings, coupled with the finest service.
"As a pinnacle event of the Kiwi Chamber, the New Zealand Wine Festival aims to offer a vast array of vintage wines for Korean connoisseurs to experience," said Lewis Patterson, chairman of the Kiwi Chamber. "New Zealand is well-known in Korea for its clean and fresh food and beverage items and our wine festivals in Seoul and Busan provide us an excellent opportunity to showcase all that New Zealand has to offer."
New Zealand continues to achieve global recognition for its innovation in wine production and with distinct grape-growing regions and over 700 wineries on both the North and South Islands.
New Zealand is well-known among wine lovers for its Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough region), Chardonnay and premium red wines (Hawke's Bay and Gisborne regions) and Pinot Noir (Martinborough and Central Otago regions).
With ample time for tasting, wine lovers will be able to experience top brands such as Hunter's, Cloudy Bay and Sileni, among many others, all of which offer quality in every glass.
"This year also marks an important year for both the Korean and New Zealand business communities as we eagerly await the conclusion of the Korea-New Zealand FTA," added Patterson. "A win-win free trade agreement will further strengthen cooperation between our countries in many key industry sectors and enable consumers in both places to access high-quality products at reasonable prices."
This year, both wine festivals will feature lucky draws with many outstanding prizes, including two economy return tickets to Christchurch, New Zealand for the Seoul event and one return ticket to the same destination for the Busan event from the chamber's premium event sponsor Singapore Airlines.
The Seoul event will take place on May 17 at the Waterfall Garden of the Grand Hyatt Seoul from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The second of the two marquee events will be held at the Park Hyatt Busan on May 31 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. , where it will be held on the 33rd floor with a stunning view of Gwangan Bridge.
Tickets for the wine festivals are 80,000 won for Kiwi Chamber and DINE@HYATT members, 90,000 won for non-members and 95,000 won for door purchases.
In the event of inclement weather, the Grand Hyatt Seoul festivities will be held indoors. For more information and registration, please contact chamber@kiwichamber. com or visit us at www. kiwichamber. com.
